How to Create a Lead Magnet to Grow Your Email List

If you’re resting all your marketing ambitions on the hope that first-time visitors will make a purchase, you’re going to have trouble making any money. Only about 1% of visitors are ready to make a purchase during their first visit. On average, you’ll need about 4 or 5 points of contact before getting a sale.

A lead magnet is designed to help you capture the email address of these visitors so that you can direct them back to your sales funnel. They’re designed for the 99% of prospects that leave your site without making a purchase.
So, if you want to gain these email addresses, you should take the time to create an effective lead magnet.
Research Your Competitor’s Lead Magnets
First, you’ll need to look at your competitor’s lead magnets. Look at the offers that they provide. You shouldn’t copy their offers. But, you can use your research to ensure that you’re offering something original and more appealing than what your competition is offering.
This research will give you a better sense of what your potential buyers want. Use this information as you choose your offer. Generally, these offers will fall into one of these categories:
  • PDF, eBook, or downloadable guide
  • Video tutorial
  • Webinars
  • Discounts or coupons
The medium that you choose for your offer will depend on your market. PDFs and other readable content are useful when you don’t have a tangible product.
So, if you offer digital goods or services, your customers will expect digital offers. Though, downloadable content can be applied to almost any industry.
When creating your offer, the medium is not nearly as important as the actual content. Whether you film a video tutorial or put together a downloadable guide, you need to choose a topic that your potential buyers are interested in.
Researching the Top Concerns of Your Potential Buyers
Researching the top concerns of your potential buyers will help you choose a topic for your lead magnet. People want solutions. They want valuable information. You’ll provide them with the answers or facts that they need.
There are several ways to learn more about the top concerns of your target demographic. You can search forums and communities. Look at the questions that people ask most frequently on these websites.
You can also look at social media comments. This includes comments on both your own social media accounts and the accounts of your competition. Social media is the preferred method of communication for most consumers.
A little bit of keyword research can also help you find a topic. See what keyword phrases are searched for most frequently. Focus on keyword searches related to questions or concerns.
After you’ve researched the top concerns of your potential buyers, you’ll have a topic to discuss. Make this topic the focus of your free content. Then, this content together in a PDF, video, or webinar.
Create a Killer Title and Sub-title
Once you have an offer, the rest is easy. You just need a great title and sub-title. Be specific and keep your title simple. Address the problem or concern that you promise to solve in your free content.
The sub-title follows up on this promise by telling visitors what they’ll find on this page. Make it obvious to your visitors what they’re about to read.
This same tip applies to the rest of your web page. Keep the content simple and direct. You need to stick to the point. The entire goal of the page is to get visitors to sign up to your email list by offering free content. Make sure that they understand exactly what they’re about to sign up for.
A lead magnet is an invaluable tool used for growing your email list. But, there are more steps that you can take. If you’d like more powerful marketing tips, as well as a way to generate conversion-ready internet marketing prospects every month, click here to learn about my done-for-you system.

6 Tips to Help You Increase Your Instagram Followers

Instagram is currently the fastest growing social media site. This provides a great opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to grow their brand. With Instagram, you get access to over 600 million active monthly users.
Not only does Instagram have the numbers to help you expand your brand, Instagram followers are also more likely to engage. This means you’ll have better chances of getting followers to follow your links. But, first, you need to gain these followers.
Use these 6 tips to start increasing the number of followers you have on Instagram.

Research Your Competition and Take Notes
The first step is to begin researching your competition. You should see what they’re doing to attract followers. Look at the type of content that they post, which posts receive the most likes and shares, and how frequently they post.
By researching your competition, you gain valuable insight into the needs and wants of your target audience. You eliminate the need to perform detailed consumer research.
Make notes on what you find. Write down the frequency of their posts and other details. Use this as a base for your posting strategy.
Announce Your New Instagram Account
You can also take advantage of your existing follower base on other social media accounts. This can give you a quick boost of new followers to your Instagram account.
Post an announcement on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites encouraging your followers to check out your Instagram page.
Create an Instagram Posting Schedule
The next step is to create a posting schedule. While it’s easy to say that you’ll post a few times per week, it’s hard to stick this routine without setting concrete goals and plans.
Generally, you’ll want to post at least once per day. You don’t want to bombard your followers with posts. But, you also don’t want them to forget about you.
Along with the frequency of your posts, you’ll want to consider the timing of your posts. The time of the day can directly impact post engagement. The best time of the day to post depends on your followers.
Pay attention to what time of the day users engage with your posts. Typically, the afternoon is the best time, as people are out of work.
Take High-Quality Photos for Your Posts
Instagram is highly visual. Each post will contain a photo or a video. Make sure that you use high-quality photos. You should consider investing in a decent camera unless your smartphone has a camera capable of taking quality shots.
If your images appear grainy or out of focus, your Instagram feed won’t be as appealing to potential followers.
Include a Clear Message in Every Post
Along with a photo or video, you’ll need to include a message. This message should be short, concise, and clear. Make sure that people understand the point of your post, especially when promoting your products or services.
Remember to Use Hashtags in Your Posts
After your message, you should add several hashtags. Don’t try to include the hashtags in your message. It makes your message difficult to read.
At the bottom of your message, include several relevant hashtags. This helps people discover your posts when using the Instagram search feature.
Combine these tips to get the most out of your Instagram account. In addition to these suggestions, the use of sponsored posts can help you attract more followers.
Instagram is growing quickly. Get involved while interest is still high. If you’d like to gain even more effective marketing tips and suggestions, along with a way to generate conversion-ready internet marketing prospects, then click here to learn about my done-for-you system.

Why You Need To Get Into The Mind Of Your Audience

If you’re looking to drive sales through increased traffic to your website and grow your business, the key determinants of this are your site visitors, your audience. The only way to truly see your marketing efforts pay off is to identify the clients most likely to engage your business, and produce a conversion for your product or service. To get hold of this information, there are a lot of software and programs available to help you collect this valuable data.
Many entrepreneurs spend generously on marketing campaigns to yield good conversion rates for their businesses. Garnering information based on the habits of your potential clients is a solid way to determine if many of your strategies are viable. Using software that can both gather and analyze your data will save you much time, instead of having to do it manually, and will provide you with well needed direction for the implementation of future strategies.
Once you have the data in hand, it’s time to get to work. These programs will provide you with basic information such as gender, age, and location. While these are good metrics to have, they really don’t tell you much, so a more sophisticated program which gives more substantial information relating to their educational background, their social media and general internet habits, and even where they live, gives a more complete picture of your ideal client-the one who will convert for you.
Since audience reach is a big deal, it’s likely that your marketing budget may be quite sizeable. The results of your audience information search will help you to see if you need to pump money into other areas of marketing or if the methods you’re currently using will suffice, or can be utilized in more effective ways.
The money you’ve spent on marketing and advertising is an investment in your business, for which you’d like to see returns. This targeted information will help you to figure out when and where your most likely clients shop and browse, then, you can use directed advertising to appeal to them on those platforms. When you’re clear about your brand and what you want it to say to potential clients, leveraging this along with the information you were previously armed with, will help you reach them in a most effective way and will yield the conversion you seek for your business.
It’s more than likely that you conduct business online as well and have seen pop up ads and other forms of advertising which make you wonder how these sites are able to determine your interests. This is because many of these sites use the same strategies with you, that you’d like to use with your clients, to increase your own profitability. It must be very clear now how this approach makes a lot of sense.
There’s no miraculous way to generate greater website traffic which converts to sales. Using structured and proven approaches which generate meaningful information, like this one, really is a logical way of gauging how to position yourself from a marketing perspective, thus putting you in a prime position to engage with your target audience.
Naturally, you’d love greater insight as to where you can get a hold of a host of internet marketing tips and strategies to increase your conversion rate and grow your business. There’s a tried and proven way for you to do so. Why not check out this done-for-you system, to find out how you can use various methods and find different resources to help you achieve your growth goals for your business?

Creative Lead Generation

Lead generation is a vitally important part of a digital marketing strategy. If you don’t have leads, people don’t get your emails. Emails generate sales, foster public relations, and give you a place to talk to your customer.

Having leads for those emails is a must.

Getting new leads can sometimes be difficult. More and more people are choosing to not opt into emails and this can leave your lead list flat and your email delivery stagnant.
People are more apt to share their emails with you if they feel like they are getting something of genuine value by sharing them. Here are a few creative ways to capture leads that convert.

Use success stories
Odds are that you have at least a few success stories from thought leaders in your industry. Reach out to them and interview them. Turn that interview into a webinar, podcast, or articles.
A conversation with a thought leader about how they became successful is a compelling and valuable piece of content. When you share this content, lead lock it. People who really want to see the content will be more than happy to give you their email in exchange for advice from a thought leader.

Make “Help” videos
Making help videos is another great way to capture leads. If there is a problem that you see a large number of people who use your service having, such as “how do I create a Facebook page” or something of the like, make a video solving the problem.
Not only do these videos provide useful information for your clients, they can also help you gather new customers and clients by helping them solve their problem.
For the best payoff from help videos, create an education center page on your website with a few videos. Have people provide their email address to sign-up and use the free education center. This gives you valuable leads that can turn into new customers.

Embrace the quiz trend
Quizzes are big right now. They are all over social media and have started to creep into display ads and email inboxes. Use the quiz trend to your advantage.
Quizzes, especially when they are created well, are a great lead generation driver. People love learning what kind of flower they are or which celebrity they act like the most. Usually, the more outlandish the quiz, the better.
Quizzes are also great to push out on social media for some new engagement and boosted traffic and likes on your company’s page. Use the power of the quiz for all it’s worth and it will deliver a host of great results.

Give insight into what’s working for you
Have something you are doing that is working really well for you? Talk about it! Host a webinar about it or write a blog or whitepaper. People want to know what works for others and they are more than willing to exchange their email for that information.
Be an information provider and people will start to look to you as an authority. Consider using the pieces as a lead generation ad on Facebook and test the response.

Host a giveaway
Giveaways are one of the easiest and frankly the best ways to gather leads. When you create a great giveaway, people will happily give you their email address for a chance to win.
Giveaways do require some careful consideration when you are using them for lead generation though. You have to be prepared that some people who enter the giveaway may have little to no interest in your company and won’t be good leads.
That being said, giveaways are still a great lead generation tool and can give you a ton of leads in a short amount of time. This is especially true if you use social media to promote the giveaway.

How to Grow Your YouTube Following

The use of video marketing is becoming increasingly popular for entrepreneurs. The reason is simple. More people are using mobile devices and the videos are easier to view on these devices than reading a lengthy blog post.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of competition on YouTube. Getting noticed isn’t always easy. But, with a few simple tips, you can begin increasing the number of followers that you’ve got on YouTube.

With more followers, your videos are more likely to get noticed. Here are several steps that you can take right now to begin growing your YouTube following.

Increase the Value of Your Videos
The first step is to increase the value of your videos. People won’t share videos that don’t provide any real value. You can’t just create a video introducing your business and hope to get thousands of views.
Each video needs to have a specific focus. It’s much like writing a quality blog post. In fact, you can recycle your most popular blog content into videos.
Whenever you write a script for a video, always ask yourself if you’d share this video with others. The video needs to offer some benefit to the viewer. You can provide instructions, demonstrations, or tips related to a specific topic.

Remain Consistent with Your Release Schedule
YouTube offers video recommendations based on what you’ve already watched. If you remain consistent with your release schedule, you’re more likely to gain new subscribers.
If a viewer watches one of your videos without following, YouTube may recommend another your new videos as they’re released. This helps bring viewers back to your channel.
Whether you release one or four new videos each month, you should stick to a schedule. Decide which day of the week you’ll release your videos. Subscribers will know when to check back and your viewer retention rates will increase.

Ask People to Subscribe to Your Channel
Your videos should serve a specific purpose. As with your blog articles, the end of the video should include a call to action. You could tell viewers to follow a link or you can use this call to action to remind viewers to subscribe.
YouTube also provides the option to include an image or graphic to act as a clickable button overlay directly on top of your video. With this clickable button, you can include a link to subscribe to your YouTube channel.

Include a YouTube Widget on Your Website
You should also add a widget or link on your website that connects with your YouTube channel. Increase exposure to your channel by adding these features to your blog or business site.
If you use WordPress, you can find numerous widgets and plugins that allow you to add YouTube videos to your site. You could also add a YouTube subscribe button on your site.

Become a Featured YouTube Channel
You have the option to add “Featured Channels” to your YouTube channel. These are channels that you follow and recommend your followers to follow.
By getting these other channels to recommend you to their followers, you can boost exposure. There are two ways to go about this.
You can either directly ask a channel to add you or you can start following them. There is no guarantee that the other channel will follow you, but it’s still worth the effort.

Interact with People That Comment on Your Videos
You shouldn’t ignore the comments on your videos. Actively respond to these comments. People may leave a comment without following. After responding, they might rethink their decision and start following your channel.
Increasing your YouTube following is one method for improving your online presence. If you’d like to gain access to more internet marketing tips, and a way to generate new sales leads, then click here to learn about my done-for-you system.
