Time Flies. Two Days in Miami we left up wanting more.
We had, though Booked our Rooms at the next place on our trip, and again it was a destination we had never been to before, so we were equally as excited as we were sad to be leaving Miami behind.
The Keys - Key Largo to be precise, 70 miles drive from Miami, Staying at the Playa Largo Resort:
Wow What and Sight....
Followed by a Meal at the
as the Official guide says...
Magical, is all that can be said.
Day two saw us wanting to explore Key Largo, after a drive round we decided we would take in a boat tour out to one of the local reefs, mored alongside was also the African Queen, the actual boat that Humphrey Bogart used in the film.
We didn't take that one but the glass bottom boat tour:
What a great tour, loads of fish on the reef and the guide really knowledgeable. Added with the fact that we didn't feel sea sick once!
Afterwards we drove down to the local park, looking for any Alligators taking in the afternoon sun.
No alligators sadly, a couple of Tree Frogs and the this fabulous creature just walked out of the undergrowth.
Back for another lovely meal and drinks!
Before leaving the Keys we wanted to take in the bridges. So our drive to our next stopover was a drive further down before up.
More Next time.............
You know you too can be like we are and work to your own schedules, and in places where the weather is definitely better that the UK at this time of the year.

All I can say is WOW what a place, what we first noticed was how friendly the resort team were, nothing was too much for them.
We were shown round the modern resort, what a lovely place, the atmosphere so relaxed, a great place for a few days.
We quickly took a drink at the Poolside bar, sitting out in that warm December sun, soooo relaxing.
Everyone, Guests and Resort team said we must take in the Sunset, being December this was only around 5 pm, given tips on the best place to see it we duly set up, drinks in hand...

Dockside dining atop white-washed tables, pastel fabrics, and driftwood benches all punctuated with ....just a dash of the Bohemian culture. This rustic, yet romantically charming beach venue sits on the edge of the pier amidst gleaming water views.as the Official guide says...
